It seems West Ink boss Mampintsha would be taking a break from his planned retirement to join Afrotainment boss DJ Tira for a January jam. Other features in the coming jam are Mampintsha’s protégé Babes Wodumo and DJ Tira’s protégé Tipcee.
“Phakamisa” mastermind Mampintsha and DJ Tira were thought to have a misunderstanding, with Mampintsha accusing DJ Tira of jealousy. The relationship between the duo nosedived further when a video showing Tipcee criticizing a celeb thought to be Babes Wodumo was leaked online.
But DJ Tira, who recently released “Happy Days” in collaboration with Zanda Zakusa and Prince Bulo, is determined peace should prevail between both camps and has chosen to co-opt the West Ink boss and his protégé on the track he is working on, set for release next year.
“There will always be disagreements sometimes when you are in business,” DJ TIra offered to TshisaLIVE on his relationship with Mampintsha. “ But as a person you have to be mature enough to set aside your differences and get over it. The main thing is that we are working and going forward. We want to do what will benefit our companies.”
And indeed both camps are set to do something mutually beneficial. When it is released, the song will most likely get Mzansi dancing. It is, after all, the coming together of some of Mzansi’s music heavyweights.
